Empowerment Group’s adult entrepreneurship program is a training and technical assistance program for individuals pursuing self-employment or microenterprise as a means of earning supplemental income or as an alternative to traditional employment. Our program is centered around a personalized business consulting model that helps our clients assess their current situation, needs and goals, and gives them a customized plan to meet those goals. Through training courses, workshops, mentoring and networking activities, we help individuals change their lives, their families’ lives, and their communities through business ownership.

Entrepreneurship Training COURSE
We provide classroom training for people who have always wanted to open a business, but didn't know where to start! Empowerment Group uses a customized basic entrepreneurship training curriculum that focuses on the individual and their personal preparation for business ownership. This innovative approach teaches our clients to assess their own personal and financial reality while learning how this will affect their business.
Unlike traditional programs, this focus emphasizes the importance of the business owner’s role in the success of their business, and helps students overcome many of the personal barriers to self-employment or business ownership that they face. CONSULTING SERVICES
Every person who inquires about Empowerment Group’s entrepreneurship programming is given a free one-on-one entrance assessment with an in-house Business Consulting Manager. During this meeting, we assess the clients’ past experience, current personal and financial situation, their goals for self-employment or business ownership and their progress towards that goal. Based on this assessment, our Business Consulting Manager designs a personalized Action Plan outlining the steps that client must take to reach their goals.
Business Resource Center
Empowerment Group also maintains a Business Resource Center making many resources, media and technology readily available to entrepreneurs and to the community! The Resource Center is open to everyone, Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm. You can also check out our Virtual Business Resource Center online!
